Background
Aperol is a brand inextricably linked to the Italian aperitivo culture—the ritual of meeting friends for a drink before dinner. The brand wanted to bring this atmosphere to Poland and engage consumers with a summer activation. The goal: to connect the purchase of the product with an aspirational reward, strengthen the brand's associations with the Italian lifestyle and the joy of shared moments.
Idea
A competition featuring Cristina Catese—an Italian chef who has lived in Poland for 17 years, author of the book "Italia Amore Mio, " and ambassador for Italian brands. The mechanics are simple: buy Aperol, keep your receipt, visit the website, and answer the question, "Who will you take with you, and why do you want to experience the Italian lifestyle with them?" Participants competed for weekly and monthly prizes, as well as the grand prize: a trip to Venice with Cristina Catese.
Execution
Photoshoot with Cristina Catese at the Żywioły restaurant, whose interior captured an Italian atmosphere. Key shot: a toast with glasses of Aperol at a table with a group of friends. Seven photos were selected from the shoot for the key visual and POS materials. A dedicated website was created: konkurs.aperol.com.
